From Mossy Bottom Farm to the big city of Christchurch, Shaun the Sheep is ready for his next adventure.

Playful, cheeky, and full of personality, Shaun has been making families laugh around the world for years. His mischievous antics and loyal flock make him the perfect character to lead Christchurch’s most baa-rilliant art trail.

Shaun’s world is built on friendship, teamwork and looking out for one another. Those values mirror the mentoring relationships at the heart of Big Brothers Big Sisters, where caring mentors support young people to grow in confidence and discover their potential.

Sheep are also an iconic part of New Zealand’s identity and Canterbury’s heritage, so a flock of Shaun sculptures roaming the streets of Ōtautahi feels right at home. Visitors from near and far will follow the trail, discovering the city in a whole new way.

With the creative partnership of Aardman and Wild in Art, these ewe-nique sculptures are sure to spark imagination, inspire artists and bring people together from across Aotearoa and beyond.

“Let’s face it. Shaun is a bit of a star – why wouldn’t we want him here!?”
